Lang
Division Dnector
RE: Fourth Technical Adequacy Review of New 112 Reclamation Permit Application,
Permit No. #M-99-098Ktiverview Resources
Dear Mr. Refer,
This letter is being written to address the remaining technical issue which must be resolved before the
Division of Minerals and Geology (DMG) can recommend approval of the new 1 12 application submitted
by your company, Permit No. #M-99-098, Riverview Resources Pit. All other issues have been resolved
at this time.
The stability analysis response letter which was submitted by Tuttle Applegate on Mazch 2, 2000, has
been reviewed and a response has been sent from DMG. The issues cited in our letter of March 3 must be
resolved by the current decision due date. Either compensation agreements must be agreed upon with the
land and structure owners listed on the Exhibit C map and in Exhibit F, a 200' setback must be preserved,
or the detailed engineering geo[echnical stability analysis must be modified and re-submitted. This is in
accordance with Rule 6.4.19 of the Construction Materials Rules and Regulations.
Please address this concern prior to the currently scheduled due date of March 3, 2000. If this concern is
not dealt with, or the decision date extended by March 3, DMG will be forced to deny your application on
this dale. At this time, the Division is anticipating holding aPre-Hearing Conference on March 14. An
extension to March 6 would still allow the objection process to go forward this month.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me at (303) 866-3567.
Sincerely,
~~ ~-L
~ r !/ I~~
Christina L.
