Box 68 <br />Craig, Colorado 81626 <br />303-824-8246 <br />RF~,FI~1FD <br />OCT 111994 <br />(;n,islon of n•uuela,; a ~adolo9Y <br />Re: Adequacy Response; NOI No. X-94-214-00, Cvarus Empire Corporation <br />Dear Ms. Pavlik; <br />The following information is being provided in response to your initial adequacy review. <br />Each DMG item is restated, and followed immediately by CEC's response. <br />DMG Concern <br />Completeness <br />The NOI application is complete except for the following: <br />11 Right of access from the various landowners for the drill sites and seismic <br />transects, <br />21 Exploration License from the Bureau of Land Management (BLM1, <br />31 Cultural Resources Inventory and clearance from both BLM and the State <br />Historical Preservation Office (SHPO1. <br />4) Threatened and Endangered Species clearance from both the Colorado Division <br />of Wildlife ICDOWI and the United States Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWSI. <br />With reference to 11, above, the Division understands that there are many different <br />landowners for the various drill sites, that obtaining right of access may be a time- <br />consuming process,t hat right of access may be obtained more easily and quickly from <br />some landowners than from others, and that the proposed duration of exploration <br />activities is from October, 1994 through September, 1996. If the approval of the entire <br />NOI is delayed because of delays in obtaining right of access from several of the <br />landowners, the period of exploration activity could be severely shortened.
