Dent. of Alatural P,eso~rces
Attention of Mr. Dean Massey
Dear Dean: ~f7S/~'~
Enclosed are the additional materials necessary for the new application
for the Goldman Gravel Pit, and the supplemental information concerning the
Hoaglund;~Grand Valley, Cattle Creek and Anderson Pits. In the case of the
supplemental information; I have gone through the points in your letter and
tried to answer each one as completely as I could at this time.
With regards to the Goldman Pit I am still waiting to receive the Wildlife
Form and authorization to enter the pit from Mr. Goldman, who is currently out
of the State. Mr. Goldman has agreed to pay the fee for the filing of the
request and presumably will be done upon his return from vacation. In addition
I will get Larry Velasquez the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners
to sign the Goldman form this Monday. Mr. Bowl by and Mr. Baldwin of the County
Road Department have indicated their willingness to tour all the gravel pits in
the County with your replacement whenever he desires to make the trip.
I hope this information allows the Board to consider the lifting of the
cease and desist order on the Goldman Pit. Please inform me of any decision
in that matter as soon as you can, since the County would like to use that pit
before moving on to the one in Grand Valley.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate contacting me.
Sincerely,
PLANNING DEPARTMENT
o •~
Robert A.
