Dept. of Natural Resources
Enclosed please find a letter I received from the Town
of Silverton at their May 24 meeting. I informed them that
the Notice of Publication would be in Thursday's paper and
pursuant to the public notice requirements, I would be•send-
ing them a certified letter with a copy of the publication.
The only adjacent landowners in the area are the Town
of Silverton and the lessors.
From my knowledge there will be no objection to the
application.
The surface owners are the lessees and they also own
the adjacent land. The only other adjacent land owner is
the Town of Silverton and I have their letter stating they
have no objection.
It would be my request that you ask the Board if they
could not approve the application contingent upon not re-
ceiving any adverse comments to the June 10 deadline. This
would speed up the application as both the City and County
have needs for the gravel themselves and, as you are aware,
we have a very short season in Silverton in which to operate.
In any event, please run this by the Board and if
worse comes to worse, we'll have to wait for the June hear-
ing date.
Yours truly,
~. ~"" "
Ja C.
