WORST CASE RECLAMATION SCENARIO
1. 15 Acres Stripped of Topsoil which will require deep ti11L•tg and
replacement.
2. 15 Acres will need to be mulched, seeded and fertilized.
3. A 3 -acre excavation pit, 30 feet at the deepest point, is flooded to
a depth of 15' with groundwater which must be pumped out.
4. 75,000 cy of nil will be required to bockfill the 3 -acre pit (Assumed
an overage depth of 15,). The fill material wfil consist of 9.600 cy of fill
removed from the ttxkpile berm located at the southeast corner of the
site (approx 1,200 If Maul); 9,000 cy of stockpiled fill located along the
north property boundary (oapr ox 600 If haul); and 56,400 cy of fill must
be Imported into the site.
5. The 56,400 cy of import fill will come from other approved sources
owned by the applicant. Therefore, costs to locate and permit a borrow
source wlil not be required. The 56,400 cy of fill will need to be loaded
from the borrow pit, hauled a distance of approximately two miles to the
Monument View Gravel Pit area.
6. The settlement pond area, approx 1 acre in size, will need to be
removed and backf .led. The pond is to be created by pushing out the
existing overburden materials, and the overburden will not be removed
from the pond area.
7. Haul Roads, portable scale facilities (including concrete support
structure) will be demolished.
8. For reclamation cost purposes, the estimate assumes that 32 acres
will need to be mulched, disced, seeded, and fertilized.
