u
2.03 Legal, Financial. Compliance and Related Information
Legal Description
Total Permit Boundary
•
The surface area contained within the Permit Boundary
is defined by the legal descriptions below (1, 2, 3, and 4). The mine is an
underground mine. It has been determined that subsidence will
have no damaging effect for this mine area (concurred by the
Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division, November 1981).
The relevant permit area subject to reclamation con-
sists of ell surface activity disturbed areas related to Blue
Ribbon Coal Company Mining as defined by legal descriptions 1 and
2 below and shown on Exhibits A and A'.
1) Permit Boundary (Portion relevant to reclamation)
Beginning at s point on the North Line of Section 2,
T 13 S, R 91 W, 6th PM whence the Northwest corner of said Sec-
tion 2 bears North 89a 25' west, 870.0 feet; thence South 89^ 25'
East, 1135.0 feet along the said North line of Section 2; thence
South, 1772.2 feet; thence West, 717.5 feet; thence North 2° 05'
East, 936.7 feet; thence North 73~ 25' West, 400.0 feet; thence
North 34^ 50' West, 381.9 feet; thence North, 170.0 feet; thence
East, 150.0 feet; thence North, 250.0 feet to the point of begin-
ning. The total mine permit area is approximately 37.2 acres
(Plates 1 and 2, and Exhibit A). The elevation of the mine at
the portal entrance is 6,463 feet and is 5-1/2 miles northwest of
Somerset, Colorado.
2) Permit Boundary (Truck Scales)
Deleted 12-9-88
3) Federal Land - Lease C-033301

From eastern boundary of Lot 19
ell lots 16, 17, 18, 20 and 21, Section 35,
Range 91 West.
