RE: Soaring Eagle Gravel Pit, File No. M-99-025, Approval Recommendation
Dear Party:
The Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology (DMG) is recommending approval of the
application for the Soaring Eagle Gravel Pit, File No. M-99-025, submitted by Grand Junction Pipe
and Supply Company. This recommendation is based on the finding by DMG that the applicant
has demonstrated compliance with the requirements of Section 34-32.5-115(4) of the Colorado
Mined Land Reclamation Act for the Extraction of Construction Materials. DMG's rational for the
approval recommendation will follow under separate mailing.
The Pre-Hearing conference has been scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on June 14, 1999, in Room 318
of the Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado. The Purpose of the Pre-
Hearing Conference is to identify the parties for the Formal Public Hearing, and to identify which
issues will be considered by the Board at that hearing.
