I believe that <br />all of the questions in your 11 December, 1993, letter were <br />included in your previous letter, and hopefully my response <br />answered all of those questions. <br />I also think that it is important to remember that <br />mineral rights are also property rights, and that an absolute <br />prohibition against mining would be taking property rights <br />without compensation. This property has been leased for clay <br />mining since 1952, and clay has been mined there in the past. <br />Summit has been in business since 1902, and has been a <br />substantial contributor to the Colorado economy all of those <br />years.
