iii iiiiiiiiiiiii iii
999
STATE OF COLORADO
Roy Romer, Governor
DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES
MINED LAND RECLAMATION DIVISION
DAVID C. SHELTON, Director
March 19, 1987
Mr. Jim Lunan
Peabody Coal Company
1300 South Yale
Flagstaff, Arizona 86001
RE: Sencea II Alfalfa Management and Control Plan (File C-80-005)
Dear Mr. Lunan:
On March 12, 1987, the Division received a request from Peabody Coal Company
to extend the alfalfa management and control plan submittal date from February
1, 1987, until April 15, 1987.
The submittal date of February 1, 1987, was established to ensure that there
would be adequate time for discussions between Peabody Coal Company and the
Division prior to the optimal initiation time for the program if concerns were
raised during the Division review of the plan.
The Division will extend the submittal date until April 15, 1987. Peabody
Coal Company should note, however, that the Division believes it prudent to
implement the alfalfa control and management plan during the 1987 growing
season. Therefore, the plan to be submitted should be in sufficient detail so
that all pertinent details are adequately addressed.
If you have any questions or comments, please contact me.
Sincerely,
Steven G.
