Currently your file <br />includes a legal description, names and addresses of surrounding landowners, a deed <br />and several location maps. In addition to these materials, a more detailed site plan is <br />needed. This would include inrortnation such as where specifically mining will occur, if <br />the operation will be phased, access information, hauling routes, etc. I am sure that the <br />Planning Commission members will also want to know the plan for reclamation. All of <br />this information and more will be required for your application with the State. I feel that <br />the public hearings with the County would go more smoothly if we actually had a copy of <br />your Amended 112 State application on hand. If that is not possible, at the least we <br />would want a thorough mining plan containing the information listed above. <br />On another note, I notice on the attachment to your application that there are several <br />references to zoning. The current zoning on this parcel of land is rural and you have <br />submitted an application to be permitted a Conditional Use in a rural zone for an <br />extractive industry. I do not have an application for a zone change, however the <br />comments in the attachment suggest that you would like to rezone. A zone change is <br />not necessary for this type of operation, however if this is your intention we need to <br />discuss it. <br />On a final note, I want to emphasize again that having a county official assist with you <br />with gathering materials for the Conditional Use Permit could compromise your <br />application in the eyes of the public.
