I was re-assured of this by
the Division at other times since the site meeting.
I have worked with Wally Erickson on compiling surface owner
information, addresses, telephone numbers, etc. as these items
arose. Throughout October, I was told by Wally that the letters to
the landowners would be sent out within a few days and that they
would contain the list of work items proposed for the property. I
have since received the letters that; the Division has sent to the
surface landowners at the Trinidad Elasin Mine. The letters do not
detail the work to be done; they, for the most part, simply ask for
verification of surface ownership.
Basically, I feel disappointed that: we are now two ful l months
after our site meeting and we are still verifying land ownership.
The landowners have not yet been notified about the details of the
proposed work. This is not what L w.as told by the Division and i
feel that the work is progressing at a terribly slow pace.
Also, I have conducted many construct;ion projects in Colorado over
the past 13 years and I know it will be very difficult and costly
to try to complete the site work in winter. Please let me know of
your comments on the above concerns. Thanks.
Sincerely yours,
C~
~l
Greg Lewicki
Greg Lewicki and Associates
cc.
