The Corley Company
Phone 6325050 P.O. Boa 1821
COLORADO SPRINGS,COLO RADO 60901
III IIIIIIIIIIIII III
999
RECEIVED
Sept. 14, 1994
Mr. Larry P. Routten
Division of Minerals & Geology
1313 Sherman St.
Denver CO 80203
Dear Mr. Routten:
SEP 16 '~~
Qivsion cr htirerals ~ Geo!c~y
We are sorry for the delay in writing this letter, but we were in
SJyoming on vacation from which we returned yesterday.
ide etill have not gotten the answer to our question that we first asked
about six weeks ago. What is the balance remaining from the GEC bond
monies? Since your letter states that the final $800 will probably be
associated with final work supervised by the Inactive Mines program
associated with the GEC East Pit work, it is still important to us to
know how much is left from the GEC bond.
Another important matter also has come up. We have been asked to
provide sediment control from the road culvert on the Newlin Creek site
to prevent sediment from entering the Southfield area. It immediately
came to mind that the proposed West Pit agreement would create a similar
concern by passing sediment from the West Pit and also the unreclaimed
hill directly onto the Southfield area. It is obvious that if the
Newlin Creek sediment is a problem the West Pit and unreclaimed hill
would be a greater problem. Should the agreement be reconsidered?
Sincerely,
W.D. Corley, J
President
