I beleive we have something which is more practical and
suitable for our purpose.
Snowmass has decided to use the existing concrete pads we poured for
the original weirs and purchase pre-fabricated two foot Parshall Flumes to
place on these pads. These flumes will be removed when the flow in the creeks
exceed 30 cfs. When spring runoff has peaked and the flow returns to 30 cfs
Snomwass will re-install the flumes. When the flow has dropped to 5 to 10 cfs
Snowmass will install a removable V-notch weir on the flume. This will allow
us to measure extremely low flows accurately.
Snowmass is now checking into
contact you when we have a delivery
comments concerning this new plan,
mine office.
SJ:mgc
RECEIVED
JUL 1 C 1984
MINED LAND RECLAMATION DIVISION
Celo.
