They plan on submitting a TR January 10th (TR-17).
This TR will move the H panel around an bring it to within 100 feet of
the right of way of the public road. They plan on limiting subsidence
in this panel by using partial extraction. The safety factors that they
intend to use will be the same ones currently used for the mains under
Stevens Gulch. They would lihe approval of this TR in April.
A public meeting will have to be held for mining within 100 feet of a
public road (see Rule 2.07.6 (2) (d) (iv) , page 169) . They are working
on getting Forest Service approval (NFS road) . HLM looks like they may
be leaning in calling this a minor modification to the mine plan. So,
hopefully the OSM will do the same.
Karl also said that they may submit another TR (TR-18) in mid
February to cover the C Panel which will go directly under Stevens
Gulch.
Karl will be on vacation till the 6th. His telephone # is 527-4135.
Jim P. is still reviewing TR-16 (Subsidence Reduction).
