The midterm permit review is required by Rule 2.08.3(1) for every active permit
and is to be conducted in the middle of the five year permit term.
The purpose of the midterm permit review is to conduct a review of the permit application and
identify any areas that need to be revised to bring the permit application into compliance.
This findings document is divided into four sections. Section I details the history of the mine.
Section II summarizes the permitting and enforcement actions since the permit issuance. The
reclamation bond information is in Section III. Section IV contains the Division's adequacy
concerns. The reclamation cost estimate calculation sheets are included as an attachment.
If you have any questions, please call me.
Sincerely,
D~
oseph J, l~dash
Environmental Protection Specialist
Attachments
c:\word\terror\2006midtermlet 1
Office of Office of Colorado
Mined Land Reclamation Active and Inactive Mines Geological Survey
