He has told me that American Shield cannot come up
with the money to begin the reclamation of the sites prior to
starting the work. Since the current bond is in excess of
$140,000 and much work has already been done (all portals have
been sealed and all structures removed), there is strong
justification for a bond reduction, which would allow the work to
proceed. I have discussed this with Randy Price and he agreed
that a reduction could be granted, if requested.
I realize that this could have been done two months ago when
Hatem Khalidi and I met at your office. We apologize for the
delay, however, as discussed with Randy Price, the site has been
so dry this year that any reseeding done this past spring may
have been completely useless.
I plan to submit the bond reduction request sometime around July
15. The request will be reasonable and will leave the Division
with more than adequate funds to cover all remaining activities
on the site.
Call me if you have any problems with the scenario stated above.
Sincerely yours,
Cry ~,CCACC-t_.c
GregcLewicki
Greg Lewicki and
Associates
