Stover
Plined Land Reclamation Div.
1313 Sherman St., Rm. 715
Denver, CO 80203
Dear Mr. Stover:
REClAMA7 p~ N4
DJ1/IgION
I\^^ ~~/( We have done further investigation of tree spades and their use along with
/I~ •i;C I a more critical inspection of the Monarch 4 site. We have concluded that
-t~~'S ~ we would do more damage to the naturally reclaimed area than we would
ff'' I accomplish. It is probable that we would destroy two trees for every one
/V~ I ~ ~ tree we could move. Therefore, we have decided that we do not want to
Cyr L waste over twenty years of natural growth, and are will not initiate any
other reclamation in that area now especially since the fan opening has
closed by caving.
~ We are, however, still very interested in trying to improve the red ash
dump area that is eroding and sliding into the Second Alkali Creek. h'e
C`~ ~ ~ believe that is the highest priority project on our property in addition to
'the fact that it is the result of other reclamation activities that were
hot under our control.
Sincerely,
~/ i
W.D.
