Cover was estimated for Transect 1, using the procedures described for
the Mountain Shrub Reference Area. Woody plant density was estimated by
counting woody plants rooted in 2 meter wide belt quadrants running the length
of each transect.
Data Summary
(Reference any tables, diagrams or maps attached)
Attachment 1 - Transect Locations
Attachment 2 - Cover Summary
Attachment 3 - Woody Plant Density Summary
Narrative Evaluation of Compliance
This parcel is characterized by high cover and production, dominated by a native
bunchgrass, basin wildrye (Elvmus cinereus), and several introduced grasses,
including orchard grass (Dactylis Dlomerata), timothy (Phleum Dratense>,
Kentucky bluegrass (POd pratensis), intermediate wheatgrass (Agroovron
intermedium) and smooth brcme (6romus ine~mis). 14ost cf these species were
components of the pr-?-disturbance mountain shrub and aspen vegetation types.
Cover is fairly evenly distributed among the ma;cr species and the Darce', would.
Ind'. v~dually meeC the sDeCleS diversi [~i iCandd~"~7 '.vh~Ch `2pU'rei Cnat a minlmLm
of a species make uD 54! of the r21at~~2 cover, ~.,ith ^o singe spe:+es e~c=ecing
40e relative cover.
