Special secL.rity <br />systems are in place to protect the public and wildlife. The <br />Division is working closely with the company at the site. <br />The Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board will hear the <br />violation at a formal public hearing during its April 22-23 Board <br />meeting in Denver. <br />The Mined Land Reclamation Board (MLRB) was created in 1976 <br />to carry out the mandates of the Mined Land Reclamation Act. The <br />seven-member board, appointed by the Governor, works with the <br />staff of the Mined Land Reclamation Division of the Department of <br />Natural Resources to regulate mining operations through <br />permitting, inspection and bonding procedures. The act is <br />designed to make sure that mining in the state is conducted in an <br />environmentally sound manner and that land is reclaimed so that <br />it can be used for other purposes once mining has been completed. <br />STATE OF COLORADO <br />
