Long
Dir ision Dvecror
I wanted to take this opportunity to update The Corley Company on the
status of the GEC Strip Mine reclamation project. As you are aware,
we are in the process of completing the Bid Document for the
Section 24 portion of the mine, and hope to initiate and complete the
on-site work this year.
We have begun discussing with members of the Inactive Mines Program
staff about obtaining additional money for reclamation of the
GEC Strip Mine. This money, if available, would be obtained through
an IMP funding process, which has been initiated. We have also begun
discussions with their staff about preparing the Bid Document and
managing the on-site reclamation activities.
Within the next few weeks, we will be able to better identify the 1993
time frames for initiating and completing reclamation of the
GEC Strip. We will continue to update The Corley Company on all
pertinent developments. Please call us any time if you have any
questions.
Sincerely,
Daniel I.
