Computer requirements to use the DBMS dceu~nt imaging CD (or DVD): I. A program called QuickView will be copied to the CD and must be installed on your computer in order to use a DBMS imaging CD the first tithe. Future use of this or other imaging CD's does not require a cew installation of the software. 2. The CD or DVD that you purchase must be in the D: drive. A DVD drive will read a CD or DVD. 3. The CD will contain files with the .tlf extension. There needs to be an image viewing application for .tif files on your computer that will handle single and multi-page documents. On a Windows XP computer, the default viewing programs are called "Windows Picture and Fax VieweP' or "Paint" and they do not work with IZuickView. The Imaging Viewer that comes with pre-Windows XP computers does work. DBMS has determined that a program called "hfanView", which can be downloaded from hfanView.com, does work with lZuickView. Ath:r downloading "h-fanView", it needs to be configured as your default .tif viewer. DBMS does not support or endorse this software and the licensing and registration are the user's responsibility. There are many other programs that work as well, such as "Imaging Preview" and "Imaging for Windows". Inatructlona• 1. Insert the CD into your computer. 2. Allow time for the CD to install. 3. Eject the CD fi»m the computer. 4. Reinsert the CD into the computer. $. You are ready to view the Permit Files. NOTE: A program called lZuickView Autorun, which tuns the QuickView setup program, has also been copied to this CD. Lf the Autotua program does NOT work, you will need to manually install the QuickView program Instructions for manually installing QuickView are available upon request with the CD or can be viewed at www.minine.state.co.us. The Permit Flle dceument images can be viewed to the receptlop area o[the DBMS otilce or they cau be purchased on a CD or DVD. The CD/DVD purchase coat rnvers the tlme and labor of making the CD. DBMS cahoot provide computer related support.
