Computer requirements to uee the DBMS document itnagirtg CD (or DVD): I. A program called QuickYiew will be copied to the CD and must be installed oa your co~77ter is order to use a DBMS ianging CD tlu fast time. Future »se of this or other imaging CD's does not require a new installation of the software. 2. The CD or DVD that you purchase m7 >,S be in the D: drive. A DVD drive will read a CD or DVD. 3. The CD will contain files with the .tif extension. There needs to be an irmge viewing application for .tif files on your computer that will handle single and rnil6-page doctm7ents. On a Windows XP computer, the default viewing programs are called "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer" or "Paint" and they do not work with QuickView. The Imaging Viewer that cornea withpre-Windows XP computers does work. DBMS has determined that a program called "IrfanView", which can be downloaded from IrfauView.com, does work with QuickView. After downloading "IrfanView", it needs to be configured as your default .tif viewer. DBMS does sot support or endorse this software and the licensing and registration are the user's respona7bility. There are many other programs that work ae well, such as ..Imaging Preview„ and "Imaging for Windows". Inatructlona• 1. Insert the CD into yanr computer. 2. Allow time for the CD to install. 3. Eject the CD from the computer. 4. Reinsert the CD into the computer. 5. You are ready to view the Petmit Files. NOTE: A program called QuickView Autorun, which taus the QuickView setup program, has also been copied to this CD. If the Autorun program does NOT work, you will need to manually install the QuickView program. h7structiona for manually installing QuickView are available upon request with the CD or can be viewed at www.minin¢.state.co.us.
