RE: 1989 Seed Mixes and Annual Shrub and Tree Planting Map,
Seneca II Mine, Permit C-80-005
Dear Mssrs. Lunan and Pfannenstiel:
The Division has received and reviewed the annual planning map and seed
mixture for 1989 revegetation activities. I noted with interest the six
additional forb and shrub species that you are adding to the seed mixture this
year. Also, the use of "concentrated shrub planting areas" sounds like a good
idea to enhance woody plant establishment.
The submitted blueline map ("1989 Seeding and Shrub an
was compared to Exhibit 13-2 - Reclamation Plan of the
document and they do not correspond. Exhibit 13-2 was
Technical Revision Number 16 approved by the Division
allowed, in part, delays of reclamation until the end
of the Seneca II permit area including the scraper pit
haul road and associated spoil piles. Further, areas
Pit are scheduled to be reclaimed by the end of 1989.
