By virtue of that
reorganization, the new mailing address for the LIBRA Mining Engineer is now the same as shown in this
letter-head. You may recall a phone conversalion we had about the time of the reorganization. Any written
communication to the Montrose District Manager or District Mining Engineerjormerly sent to the Montrose District
office address should now be seat to the new address. Please matte changes in your mailing lists as noted.
The reorganization located the LIBRA Geologist and Mining Engineer in the same office. This situation allows the
Geologist end Mining Eogincer the convenience of combining files which previously were required in duplicate.
Any solid leasable minerals document sent to BLM for review can now be seat as one copy to the Resource Area
Manager at the LIBRA address. This would include aB documents relating [o the mine permit. This information
is being provided to all the mining companies holding or operating on federal coal leases in the LIBRA.
Representatives of the mining companies have informed me that they need written confirmation from you that the
Montrose District Manager's address may be dropped from their permit document mailing list. Please provide them
with that confirmation. The following list of companies are involved:
1. Bear Coal Company, Bear No. 3 Mine
3. Somerset Mining Company, Sanborn Creek Mine
2. Mountain Coal Company, West Elk Mine
4. Basin Resources Limited (Formerly
Cyprus Orchard Valley Coal Corporation),
Orchard Valley Mine.
The reorganization also placed solid leasable mineral (including coal) inspection & enforcement/Productioo
Verification duties for the BLM Grand Junction District, end the Canyon Cily District with the LIBRA Mining
Eegineer. This will affect change of address on permit document mailing lists for one coal mine in each of those
Districts. I will communicate further with you in the future concerning those company Dames. If you have any
questions call Desty Dyer at (303) 249fi047.
Sincerely,
~~ .
Desty Dyer, BLM V uung Engineer
