Re: PBcA of Production Wells
American Soda LLP is in the process of initiating Plugging and Abandonment of wells in the
lower well field at the Yankee Gulch Sodium Minerals Project.
We have evaluated each well and have determined that the following wells should be
plugged and abandoned. These wells will be plugged and abandoned at intervals that meet
the time frame associated with required notice to agencies, in particular the 45 day notice
specified in the EPA Area Permit No.C03858-00000.
Notice was given to EPA on December 23, 2003 with copies to the BLM and CDMG that wells
20-02, 20-14 and 21-15 would be Plugged and Abandoned. Work has started on these wells
using procedures approved in both State and Federal permits.
The required 45 day notice for Plugging and Abandonment for wells 20-03, 20-11, 21-16, 28-17
and 28-41 was submitted to the EPA with copies to the BLM and CDMG on April 9, 2004.
As each well P8cA is completed the required reports will be filed with the appropriate
agencies.
