Uept. of h'aturat Reso~.irces
FILE ~E77-307
Due to the small area inwlved and the underground nature of
the mine, constant use of the disturbed area is necessary, and final
reclamation cannot begin until all mining activity has ceased.
The reclamation that can be performed during mining activity is
minimal and consists of seeding the areas disturbed around vent-
holes for stabilization.
At Q?-25, a limited impact mine, the venthole was located on a
pre-existing shaft site inwlving no surface disturbance. One vmt-
hole is planned during the next year. No reclamation has been per-
formed.
~~c8,.~ ~ G~~
Karen E, Ja son
Environmental Coordinator
