As you know from inspecting the mine, <br />the post-mining topography yields more acres available for <br />farming than existed prior to mining. Cooperation between <br />the Mined Land Reclamation staff and Peabody"s engineers led <br />to this successful reclamation project. Peabody reclaimed <br />the final pit to a contour and land use better than existed <br />before mining. <br />I would like to nominate Peabody Coal Ca. for a special <br />category award in final pit reclamation. If you can think of <br />another catagory where this project might stand a chance of <br />winning an award let me know. The work completed at Nucla <br />mine is an example of how final reclamation can enhance the <br />land form. <br />Thank you for your support in this project. <br />Please feel free to keep the attached photos.
