The last time I sent a similar letter was for 2°a
quarter ] 999, so this letter is for [he period covering 3`a quarter 1999 [0 4a' quarter 2000.
The Division received Hamilton Mine's sediment pond inspection reports for the above mentioned period and
although there were times [hat both ponds A and B had water in them, at no time did [hey ever discharge.
Both ponds are stable and free of defects and are functioning as designed which is consistent with the
Divisions monthly inspections of the site.
The Division has also review all of the Dept. of Health's NPDES discharge reports for the period stated above
and finds the NPDES reports have been prepared in compliance with Rule 4.05.13(2)(a)(iii). During this
entire report period, a[ no time did the ponds discharge, therefore, no values exceeded the permit limitations
and no problems were noted with the reports.
if you have any questions or are in need of any additional information, please write or call me at (303) 866-
3567.
Sincerely,
I~
Harry B.
