The Mined Land Reclamation Division was notified by the Colorado Department of
Health concerning gravel "washwater" discharge. The permit filed with our
office does not mention agravel-washing or processing operation.

After reviewing the application for this site, I felt reclamation costs, and,
consequently the Financial Warranty submitted was underestimated. Please
detail the volwne of material 'to be backfilled and yraded, as well as the
topsoil volume replacement and grading.. Please provide your estimated costs
for handling. What equipment do you plan to utilize?
I'm asking these questions because I did not stave adequate information (as
specified in my questions above) to accurately assess present reclamation
costs. This information (volumes, equipment, etc.) will allow amore accurate
estimation than if I were to speculate about volwnes from the pre- and
post-mining topography maps provided. Revegetation costs (e.g., planting
costs, mulching costs, seed costs, etc.) should also be yiven.
