The search was to be
for corporate officers, already listed in the Office of
Surface Mining's (0814) alternative enforcement data, that
may be associated with other mining proposals or ventures on
file or being processed in your office. On completion of
the review, your office was to respond by phone if a
positive identification was made or in writing if nothing
was found. Your review and response, which was in writing,
indicated that no connections were found.
Of the other State regulatory authorities contacted about
the corporate officers, one responded with information that
prompted further investigation on our part'. Consequently, a
whole new group of officers of the corporation in violation
of the failure to abate chief's order, #84-2-244-3, have
been identified. This information was checked and verified
through the Department of State in Colorado.
OSM i s adding the new 1 i st of corporate officers as being
liable for the mining corporation's failure to comply.
Until further notice, include the following officers on
OSM's list to be considered for alternative enforcement
action.
Gary Carden, President
P. 0.
