A program called QuickView will be copied to the CD and must be installed on your computer in order to use a DAMS imaging CD <br />the first time. Future use of this or other imaging CD's does not require a new installation of the software. <br />2. The CD or DVD that you purchase must be in the D: drive. A DVD drive will read a CD or DVD. <br />3. The CD will contain files with the .tif extension. There needs to be an image viewing application for .tif files on your computer that <br />will handle single and multi-page documents. On a Windows XP computer, the default viewing programs aze called "Windows Picttue <br />and Fax Viewer" or "Paint' and they do not work with QuickView. The Imaging Viewer that comes with pre-Windows XP computers <br />does work. DAMS has determined that a program called "IrfanView", which can be downloaded from IrfanView.com, does work with <br />QuickView. After downloading "IrfanView", it needs to be configured as your default .cif viewer. DAMS does not support or endorse <br />this softwaze and the licensing and registration are the user's responsibility. There are many other programs that work as well, such as <br />"Imaging Preview" and "Imaging for Windows". <br />Instructiona• <br />Insert the CD into your computer. <br />2. Allow time for the CD to install. <br />3. Eject the CD from the computer. <br />4. Reinsert the CD into the computer. <br />5. You aze ready to view the Permit Files. <br />NOTE: A program called QuickView Autonnt, which runs the QuickView <br />setup program, has also been copied to this CD. If the Autorun program <br />does NOT work, you will need to manually install the QuickView program <br />Inshuctlons for manually installing QtlickView aze available upon request <br />with the CD or can be viewed at www.minine.state.co.us. <br />The Permit File document images can be viewed in the reception area otthe DBMS oftice or they can be purchased on a CD or DVD. <br />The CD/DVD purchase cost covers the time and labor of making the CD.
