Long,
Division Director
The Division has completed a review of the 1992 Erosion Inventory Report submitted for the
Edna Mine. Subject to field verification, the Division finds the proposed mitigation measures
(future monitoring) for inventoried erosional features to be satisfactory.
The Division did find one issue of concern regarding Concentrated Flow Feature No. 1 in the
South-of-Shop area. Under the heading "Cross-Section 5", Pittsburg & Midway has stated that
"No work is currently proposed in this area since it is no longer bonded." Exhibit 4.8-1 of the
currently approved permit application, "Bonding Areas" includes the South-of-Shop area in the
currently bonded areas. Division records show that this area is included in the permit area, and
therefore is included in the reclamation liability of the currently approved permit.
If you have questions or are in need of additional information, please contact me.
Sincerely,

Susan L Morrison
Reclamation Specialist
Enclosure
SLM\072292.
