Computer requirements to use the DAMS dceument imaging CD (or DVD): 1. A program called QuickView will be copied to the CD and must be installed on your computer in order to use a DAMS imaging CD the fast time. Future use of this or other imaging CD's does not require a new installation of the software. 2. The CD or DVD that you purchase mast be in the D: drive. A DVD drive will read a CD or DVD. 3. The CD will contain files with the .tif exextension. There needs to be an image viewing application for .tif files oa your computer that will handle single and multi-page documents. On a Windows XP computer, the default viewing programs are called "Windows Picture and Pax Viewer" or "Paint" and tbey do not work with QuickView. The Imaging Viewer that comes withpre-Windows XP computtra does work. DAMS has determined that a program called "IrfanView", which can be downloaded from IrfanView.com, does work with QuickView. ARer downloading "hfanView", it needs to be configured as your default .tif viewer. DAMS does not support or endorse this software and the licensing and registration are the user's responsibility. There are many other programs that work as well, such as "Imaging Preview" and "Imaging for Wiadowa". Instructions• Insert Ote CD into your computer. Allow time for the CD to install. 3. Eject the CD from the computer. 4. Reinsert the CD into the computer. 5. You are ready to view the Petmit Files. NOTE: A program called lZuickView Autorlm, which tll/18 the QuickView setup program, has also been copied to this CD. If the Autoiun program does NOT work, you will need to manually install the QlrickView program Instmctions for manually installing QuickView are available upon request with the CD or can be viewed at www.minine.state.co.us. The Permit File dceument Images can be viewed to the reception area of the DAMS office or they can be purchased on a CD or DVD. The CD/DVD purchase cost coven the time and labor of making the CD. DBMS caooot provide computer related support.
