Box 1821 <br />COLORADO SPRINGS COLORADO 80901 <br />S Geology <br />Here are the answers to your questions and other statements: <br />°FrEIVEp <br />JAN 2 4 1995 <br />~: vri._ U. ndliel dl5d <br />~eolagy <br />1. 600 Ponderosa trees in pots (not bare root), 600 fertilizer tablets, and <br />600 protections are agreeable. <br />2. The Corley Company would agree to pick up the supplies in Canon City. <br />3. The Corley Company would agree to plant the trees, but planting would not <br />be 'done by volunteer labor. Rather, planting would be done by The Corley <br />Company employees on The Corley Company property and insured by The Corley <br />Company. The Corley Company is not charging the Division for the work, but <br />the employees cannot waive Workmen's Compensation. <br />4. The planting will be done in the GEC road area, the Duck Pond, and the <br />Orphan Pit areas as determined by The Corley Company (please refer to the <br />amended agreement that The Corley Company only shall determine how the $800 <br />shall be spent). <br />5. We shall plant approximately 40 to 50 trees in the Duck Pond and the <br />Orphan Pit areas each spaced 30 to 50 feet apart. The remainder of the trees <br />shall be planted along the road at about the same spacing. <br />6. We shall utilize the State Forest Service recommendations for planting <br />methods and timing. <br />7. The trees will be planted within two days of delivery unless weather <br />conditions make planting impossible. <br />8. We do not understand the statement concerning the Division's inspection <br />of the results. The Corley Company makes no warranty concerning results. <br />9. If you place the tree order prior to Jan. <br />Service will give you an additional 50 free <br />trees can be ordered. <br />Sincerely, <br />W.D.
