The following information covers the time period from September 30, 1997 -October <br />7, 1997. <br />General Construction Summary and Schedule <br />Creation of stmctural fill and base course via screening operations continues at the RPE using pit run <br />material imported from off site. Fill operations at all three benches of [he Ventilation Facilities Site <br />continues with bench elevations approaching final grade. The 54" CMP for culvert CCW-1B was <br />completed to manhole #8, and the installation of 54" spirolite (HOPE) pipe toward Manhole #9 was begun. <br />Base coarse surfacing was placed on the Landing #2 road, Electric Borehole road and Shaft #3 pad. <br />Excavation work continues on the lower road, however, work has been slowed by the need for additional <br />french drains which are in progress. A significant rain event occurred Thursday night and Friday morning <br />which shutdown construction activities most of Friday. <br />Current Schedule <br />A gantt chart of the schedule and progress of general construction activities for the project is attached. <br />Other specific tasks of interest are as follows: <br />Upper Detention Pond <br />Ventilation Benches <br />Pond SG-1 and Culvert CCW-IB <br />Wall E <br />Water Tank Extension <br />Lower Sylvester Gulch Road <br />Begin 10/15 Complete 10/3l <br />Tn Progress Complete 10/17 <br />In Progress Complete 10/17 <br />In Progress Complete l0/14 <br />Indefinite Hold <br />Begin 8/27 Complete 10/24 <br />
