Computer requlrementa to use the DBMS document imaging CD (or DVD): 1. A program called QuickView will be copied ro the CD and must be installed on your computer in order ro use a DAMS imaging CD the first time. Future use of this or other imaging CD's does not require a new installation of the software. 2. The CD or DVD that you purchase ~I.sI be in the D: drive. A DVD drive will read a CD oz DVD. 3. The CD will contain files with the .tif extension. There needs ro be an image viewing application for ,tif files on your computer that will handle single and multi-page documents. OD a Windows XP computer, the default viewing programs are called "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer" or "Paint" and they do not work with l2uickView. The Imaging Viewer that comes with pre-Windows XP computers does work. DAMS has detemlined that a program called "IrfanView", which can be downloaded from IrfanView.com, does work with QuickView. ARer downloading "IrfanView", it needs to be configured as your default .tif viewer. DAMS does not support or endorse this software and the licensing and registration are the user's responsibility. There are many other programs that work as well, such as "Imaging Preview" and "Imaging for Windows". Inatructlona• 1. Iusert the CD into your computer. 2. Allow time for the CD ro install. 3. Eject the CD from the computer. 4. Reinsert the CD into the computer. 5. You are ready ro view the Permit Files. NOTE: A program called QuickView Autamn, which rune the QuickV iew ~ setup Program, has also been copied ro this CD. If the Auronm program does NOT work, you will need ro manually install the QuickView program. Instttrctiona for manually installing QuickView are available upon request with the CD or can be viewed at www.minina.state.co.us. The Permit Piie document images can be viewed in the receptlou area ottee DAMS ottke or they can be purchased on a CD or DVD. The CD/DVD purchase cost covere the Nme and labor of making the CD.
