The Meadows No. 1 Mine pit area has been reclaimed since 1984. Remaining
reclamation obligations include removal of sediment control structures at the former pit area
and facilities area along the Yampa River, and removal of the recently specified structures
(crusher pit, concrete portion of the recovery tunnel, weather station, and gravel bar) at the
facilities area. Monitoring required by the permit will continue during the temporary
cessation. The temporary cessation is anticipated to last into the summer of 1995, or until
reclamation of the facilities azea structures commences. The temporary cessation is proposed
due to weather preempting further reclamation work.
If you have any questions, or require further information please contact Michael Savage or me.
Sincerely,
~~~~
Bryan J. Archer
Mine Manager
cc: Michael S. Savage, Savage and Savage, Inc.
