My clients' property
is comprised of some 36 acres and within sections 19 and 30 of
township 49 north, range 9 west, NMPM and carries a street address
of 13221 Marine Drive, Montrose, CO. The Ganns' property lies
immediately adjacent to the Coreys' property for which the mining
permit noted above was issued in 1987.
In a recent conference with my clients, they mentioned that
the gravel extraction activities on the Corey property immediately
to the west of their trout farm, appear to have ceased.
I am of the understanding that the reason for the apparent
shut down of the Corey gravel extraction activities is that the
above permit issued by the MLRB has now expired and that
reclamation act~.v~.ties are under way. I would appreciate it
greatly if you or someone in your department were to briefly review
this permit and to then inform me by letter of its status,
including the steps required for reclamation and the progress which
the permittee has thus far reported in completion of those required
steps.
Thank you in advance for your courtesy and cooperation in this
matter.
c rely,
l~~/~~~rv r`
tephen M.
