• • III IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII <br />999 <br />NOTICE <br />The Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division has issued a proposed decision <br />approving an application for a permit to conduct coal mining under the pro- <br />visions of the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act of 1979, which was <br />submitted by Western Fuels - Utah, Inc., 405 Urban Street, Suite 305, Lakewood, <br />Colorado 80228. <br />The Deserado Mine is proposed to be located approximately IO miles north- <br />east of Rangely, Colorado, near the abandoned Staley-Gordon Mine, North of the <br />White River at the intersection of Colorado Highway 64 and Rio Blanco County <br />Road 65, The proposed permit area lies within Sections 2, 3, 4, and portions <br />of Sections 1, 10, 11, 2I, 22, 26, 27, 28,T.2N., R.101W.; Section 32 and portions <br />of Sections 33, 34, 35, 36, T.3N., R.lO1W. <br />Several stipulations have been included in this approval to ensure environ- <br />mental protection by the proposed mining operations. Copies of the proposed <br />decision, including all stipulations, can be obtained from the Colorado Mined <br />Land Reclamation Division, 423 Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, <br />Colorado 80203, (303) 866-3567. Any person with an interest which may be <br />adversely affected by the proposed decision may request a formal hearing before <br />the Mined Land Reclamation Board on the proposed decision.
