There are many that have been written for maintenance of the drainage system or the pond associated with the refuse pile. These reflected short-term threats to the integrity of the pile, but have been satisfactorily resolved. C-92-001 Failure to follow plan for construction and maintenance of refuse pile, specifically, 1) Utilization of a refuse product which differs from that projected by the plan, upon which stability analyses were run; 2) Failure to maintain drainage off the crest of the fill. Issued 1/10/92 Terminated 4/9/92 Civil Penalty $1500 C-91-033 Failure to perform late fall seeding of re-topsoiled areas in accordance with the plan. Issued 12/31/91 Terminated 1/16/92 Civil Penalty $750 C-91-031 Failure to maintain two sedimentation ponds: Sediment Pond 1's sediment level exceeded the designed level and the west end, near the inlet, is eroding excessively AND the eastern emergency spillway pipe of Pond 4 (Refuse Pile) was crushed on the inlet. Issued 12/31/91 Terminated 3/3/92 Civil Penalty $750 C-91-030 Failure to provide a combination of principal and emergency spillways or a single open channel spillway or documentation that the pond can contain the 25 year 24- hour event. (The refuse pile pond was one of seven ponds cited in this violation). Issued 12/31/91 Terminated 4/9/92 Civil Penalty $500
