Os
This letter is submitted to formally address issues and questions raised in the above referenced letters. As
you are awaze, Sunnyside Gold Corporation (SGC) has met with the Division in Denver on two occasions
(October 18, 2004 and February 3, 2005) along with several discussions by telephone and in SGC's
Silverton office, where these issues were extensively discussed. With this letter, SGC confirms it's
previously stated plans and position on the issues and questions raised and addressed below.
October 7, 2004 Letter
I. Competing desires for post-mining land uses. Please explain how SGC intends to resolve the
post-mining land use issue. What are your plans for the building that sits -apparently - on
lands owned partly by Dresser and GKMC, knowing that GKMC has expressed at least a
desire to continue occupying that part of the building on its property? With the possible
exception of the mine portal, none of the structures or parts thereof can remain unless the
post-mining land use is changed appropriately. The Division can still consider a request
for change in past-mining land use for this area, if SGC desires.
GKMC obtained the buildings from SGC, with access rights reserved in the deed for SGC to fulfill any
reclamation obligations, as part of a contractual agreement with GKMC. In this Agreement, GKMC is
required to take over reclamation responsibilities for the buildings with the MLRB. GKMC has not
completed this obligation. In the event GKMC does not complete this responsibility, SGC has every
intention and right to implement its reclamation plan.
p.2
/ Re~~`~
/ SFP per, boo ~
~~'/sio~0 ~Yi„~~^aia~~
SSG ~OgY
c~c : ~~~ w~l-G
