For clarity, the
Division's answers are in the same order as your requests and attachments are
enclosed and referenced as needed.
1). Bond IJumber FSO42810 pertains to Wyoming Fuel Company's (WFC) Golden
Eagle I•iine. The only bond currently pertaining to the Canadian Strip (dine is
Irrevocable Letter of Credit plumber S4i639 drawn on the United Bank of Denver
in the amount of 5746,450.00. The amount of Bond to be retained is finalized
at 5298,580.00, a reduction of 5447,870.00 (60A of 5746,450.00). These were
the amounts stated in the notices to the landowners.
2). There were no comments received from landowners, interested parties, or
the general public. OSI.1 should seek BLId concurrence on the southern and pond
X002 portions of the 81 acre reclaimed area. A copy of a letter stating
Jackson County's intentions for the former haul road/oil well access road (now
County Road 23-A) is enclosed.
3). A copy of the aerial photos which the Division used to determine the area
included in the release is enclosed. The scale, as noted on the photos is
1:6600 or 1"=550'.
4). A copy of the Division's 5/13/88 Phase I inspection report was included
in the regular June mailing to AFO.
5). Technical Revision number three and the permit renewal allowed slight
changes in final reclamation contours since mining in the Pit 2 area was never
completed. A copy of the approved permit renewal document (essentially the
same as TR-03) is enclosed. The "as-built" reclamation plan map was sent by
the operator to your office in FJovember of 1987 to the attention of
t•ir. Gary Fritz.
21 S Centennial Building. 1313 Sherman Street Denver, Colorado 802032273 Tel. (3 C3) 866-3567
