Calculations submitted by Jim Stover indicated <br />that for the 10 year, 24 hour event the total runoff would be .455 acre feet <br />and with .2 acre feet of sediment the total volume for the pond would need to <br />be .655 acre feet. <br />My calculations yielded .53 acre feet of water and .2 acre feet of sediment, <br />thereby requiring a pond size of .73 acre feet. <br />Since the pond's current total capacity now stands at .745 acre feet, the pond <br />is adequately sized for the iD year, 24 hour event. <br /> <br />7998E/scg <br />
