The
testing of 5RT132 was conducted to evaluate the site's potential
for nomination to the National Register of Historic Places.
Based on a relatively intensive testing of a number of acres on
the site, the archaeological contractor indicates that the site
is highly disturbed and "holds limited potential for addressing
research goals for the area." He recommends that the site be
found not eligible for nomination to the National Register of
Historic Places. Our archaeologist concurs with that
recommendation. Colorado Mined Lands should consult with the
State Historic Preservation officer for a final determination of
eligibility.
Should you have any questions, please call Foster Kirby,
Archaeologist, at 844-2786.
Sincerely,
"'~-Pahl Heitzenrater
Chief
Biological Sciences Branch
cc: Jim Green
Colorado State Historic Preservation office
1300 Broadway
Denver, Colorado 80203
