Computer requirements to use the DBMS document imaging CD (or DVD): 1. A program called QuickView will be copied ro the CD and must be instatled on your computer in order ro use a DBMS imaging CD the fast time. Future use of this or other imaging CD's does not require a new installation of the software. 2. The CD or DVD that you purobase must be in the D: drive. A DVD drive will read a CD or DVD. 3. The CD will contain files with the .tif extension. There needs ro be an image viewing application for .tif files on your computer that will handle single and multi-page documents. On a Windows XP computer, the default viewing prograta4 are called "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer" or "Paint" and they do not work with QuickView. The Imaging Viewer that comes with pre-Windows XP computers does work. DBMS has determined that a program called "IrfanView", which can be downloaded from IrfanView.com, does work with QuickView. ARer downloading "IrfanV iew", it needs to be configured as your default .tif viewer. DBMS does not support or endorse this software and the licensing and registration are the user's responsibility. There are many other programs that work as well, such as "Imaging Preview" and "Imaging for Windows". Inatructtons• 1. lasert the CD into your computer. 2 Allow titer for the CD ro install. Eject the CD from the computer. 4. Reinsert tbe CD into the computer. 5. You are ready ro view the Pemut Files. NOTE: A program called QuickView Auronur, which runs the QuickView setup progtam, has also been copied ro this CD. 1f the Autonm program does NOT work, you will need ro manually install the QuickView program Instructions for manually installing QuickView are available upon request with the CD or can be viewed at www.minina.state.co.us.
