Detailed information concerning highwall
elimination and post-mining contours are addressed in Technical Revision No. 14, submitted to your
office on March 1, 1994.
EFMC is in process of mobilizing a contractor to Raton Creek on or about March 15, 1994 to
commence Project 2 reclamation. EFMC intends to perform this reclamation in accordance with plans
currently approved in the permit application, with the addition of elimination of all highwalls and
retention of certain mine-related structures.
EFMC requests that the Division respond promptly with any questions or comments about the above
reclamation plan. We would like to move forward with the mutual interest of expediting this final
portion of reclaiming the Raton Creek Mine.
