Barron, Jr. notified your office of <br />vegetation loss in certain areas of my property near a venti]ation facility of the <br />Golden Eagle mine. Your October 16, 1996 response indicated that an investigation <br />found no evidence that the areas in question had been impacted by activities at the <br />Golden Eagle mine. However, the affected areas have continued to expand and I <br />understand that a recent inves~gation has identified methane gas as a contributor to <br />a similar problem on property of Floyd Chavez. <br />I would appreciate a further review of this problem. <br />V e/~-~ <br />Sohn E.
