Box 653-Caribou
Nederland, Colorado 80466-0653
Dear Tom:
I have discussed your letter of January 8, 1992 to Mr. Rob Helmick with MLRD
Minerals Program staff members. Your MLRD permit does not constrain you from
selling ore produced at the Cross Mine to others or moving that purchased ore
to someone else's location. Milling of the ore in a Colorado location is done
so under the conditions of either a MLRD permit, in the case of a "captured
mill," or a permit from the Department of Health, Hazardous Materials and waste
Management Division, in the case of a "custom mill." Those parties milling the
ore should look to their MLRD or DOH permit for the appropriate conditions
under which they can process it.
Please let me know if you need further information.
~8-iflterely,
„~~////C".~~.
Dave eucknam
Acting Director
