III IIIIIIIIIIIII III <br />interoffice <br />M E M O R A N D U M <br />to: Jim Burnell <br />from: Kent Gorham <br />subject: Coal Exploration Bond Release, Basin Resources, CX-92-213-04 <br />date: December 18, 1997 <br />Please find attached a coal exploration bond release request from Basin Resources for Notice of <br />Intent CX-92-213-04. This approved activity was allegedly not conducted in it's entirety. <br />On December 16, 1997, Ron Thompson of Basin Resources and I conducted a bond release <br />inspection in the proposed location of these sites as indicated on the maps found in the <br />exploration files. Attached please find a copy of the inspection report documenting this <br />inspection. As stated in the inspection report, I found no evidence of these sites, or the <br />corresponding roads, on the ground. I am satisfied that Basin Resources did not initiate activities <br />proposed under this NOI. Therefore, [recommend that surety bond 5-93 ? 13-04 be released in <br />the full amount of $53,958.00. <br />Would you prefer to complete the remainder of the process, or should I?
