This
disturbance predates both Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Rules
and OSM rules but was permitted under MLR Permit# 78-57. A
seFOnd permit (C-020-81 ) was obtained to allow expansion of the
exploration operation to a producing mine. No expansion of dis-
turbances (to 25.3 acres ) was undertaken as approved in C-020-81.
Though most areas off of the road and work area have been reseeded
for aesthetics and soil stabilization, no reclamation has occurred
or will occur during the temporary cessation of operations.
Similarly, no back£illing, regrading, or revegetation will be
performed during the cessation of operations.
Underground mining at Munger Canyon has produced 5 entries 2500
feet long and 6 to 8 feet high. These underground entries will
be monitored and maintained during the cessation of operations;
therefore, mine entries will remain open.
All surface water run-off controls will be maintained in an environ-
mentally sound condition as described in Permit #78-57 since none
of the disturbances or controls described in Permit C-020-81 were
constructed. Salt Creek will suspend water sampling during the
cessation of operations since at this time with the insignificant
